I’m very pro walkability/bikability, and in fact got into urban planning due to my interests in walkable communities and public transit. Still, it feels a bit strange seeing the terms “urbanism” and “urbanist” completely co-opted by the cycling community. It’s overshadowed all nuance.

Saddened to learn of my cousin’s passing yesterday after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Although it’s only been in recent years that I have become close with her dad, I feel so much sorrow for their family losing her so young. Praying they find some peace during this difficult time.
